Rothstein Jewelers: How MerchantCircle Became the Center of our Social Media Strategy               

Janet Rothstein, owner of Rothstein Jewelers in Beverly Hills, CA, has been in business since 1989, but for someone who didn’t start her business in the online world, she’s done a good job staying ahead of the curve. There is hardly a network on the web that Janet isn’t a part of: LinkedIn, Twitter, Myspace, Facebook... but the network that provides the most-relevant needs for her business is MerchantCircle.

“I love that MerchantCircle allows me to have a conversation with my customers and potential customers via the web,” says Janet. “People leave me reviews and I can respond. MerchantCircle makes everything so easy-to-use. My blogs, reviews, and comments on my listing all get picked up by the search engines.”

Since joining in April 2008, Rothstein Jewelers has increased their sales and Janet has also used MerchantCircle to help her other causes. She has been an advocate for the homeless and animal rescue groups, using her MerchantCircle blog to promote her causes. Recently, Janet began helping local consumers through MerchantCircle’s recently launched “Answers” section, which allows consumers to ask local business owners any number of problems they may be facing.

“Our reputation is excellent,” says Janet. “I like to help people, so that attracts more connections on MerchantCircle. The answers and blogs I write show up on search engines and that is very important for business.
